American Genocide

This morning I just seemed to wake up spitting mad at this this murdering, lying, cheating, machine of manipulation, lies and revisionist history that is the United States of America.
I watched the Sundance award winning "Why We Fight" last night that lays out the totalitarian mission of the military industrial complex. But that is too easy to give something a monolithic name ...the individuals, like Cheney and Bush behind this treason (and it is treason) are off the hook too easily. The rest of us need to take our wake up pills (don't we have one for everything now) compliments of big pharma and see that these individuals are OUR reflection.
Our silence does not protect us - only standing and facing the faults of ourselves and our nation will bring us home to
decency, and justice FOR ALL.

No one says it better however than the the people whose land we stole when we first arrived here.

Torture and Genocide, an American Tradition

TORTURE AND GENOCIDE, AN AMERICAN TRADITION

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! America caught red handed torturing civilians! What an outrage! What a lie! Are you in denial?Suppose you woke up one morning and discovered that your parents were serial killers? Would you be in a state of denial?

America was founded on the blood, torture, and genocide of MILLIONS!! of Indians! America was founded on theft of Indian lands, deception, fraud, and dishonesty. Why does this newly discovered round of tortures perpetuated by Americans on their helpless victims, the Iraqis, come as such a surprise? My friend, Lucy Bull Bear, full blood Lakota Sioux from the Pine Ridge Reservation wanted me to tell you that
"We don't know why it is such a surprise to you white people that Americans enjoy depraved killings and torture. At the Smithsonian they have the skulls and bones of our chiefs and head men, along with women and children. They used to cut off the heads and send them East to discover our secret, our spirituality, our sixth sense. They couldn't discover it, but they put the bones in a drawer in the Smithsonian. For a fee, you can go in and look at the bones, like a dinosaur.

Who are you to say you are so shocked by one beheading? And a set-up at that. How many millions (MILLIONS) of Indians were murdered so that you could inhabit this land?"This Skull and Bones secret society that your political leaders partake of. Who do you think are those skull and bones that they take out and mock in a ghoulish ritual? None other than Geronimo. Not that we would want any part of him, but how would you feel if we beheaded your precious Bush, and conducted some outlandish ceremony with his bones that we would hand down from generation to generation? Your leaders conduct this debauchery all the time and really think they are something, like they are still trying to steal the power of a great man."What a bunch of simpletons you are! Yes, our leaders, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Geronimo, they all had power. They kind of power that you will never have, cannot steal, and will never understand."Who are you to say you are shocked by the recent round of tortures of the innocent Iraqis? We Lakotas pray for them, because we know what they are going through because that is how our ancestors were treated.”

(The belt buckle from a German SS officer, a Nazi - the German army was funded, and armed by American industry, with Prescott Bush at the helm trading with the enemy. If this is the new Rome then the family Bush is the family Caligula)

...back to the article

Kinda makes Hitler look like a boy scout, doesn’t it? There’s a great, big dirty rug that America has been shoving this huge pile of crap under for the past 500 years. This is just a tiny tip of the iceberg.Take for example, the Wounded Knee Massacre of 1890. We all learned in school that this was a battle, part of the Indian wars. That over 300 unarmed Lakotas; men, women and children, were murdered was never a part of U.S. history. We were not told how the governor of South Dakota armed the ranchers and settlers who then formed vigilante groups who routinely raided Indian camps, killing Indians, while the Interior Department was busy giving reservation land away to settlers under the Homestead Act. Indians were labeled as uncivilized savages and hostiles, much like Iraqis are called terrorists and insurgents. What was the thinking of the average American at this time? It could be summed up in the words of L. Frank Baum, editor of South Dakota’s Aberdeen Saturday Pioneer newspaper, and author of The Wizard of Oz, who, juat a week prior to the slaughter at Wounded Knee, advocated the extermination of all America’s Indians. He said:

“The nobility of the Redskin is extinguished and what few are left are a pack of whining curs who lick the hand that smites them. The whites by law of conquest, by justice of civilization, are masters of the American continent, and the best safety of the frontier settlements will be secured by the total annihilation of the few remaining Indians. Why not annihilation? Their glory has fled, their spirit broken, their manhood effaced, better they should die than live the miserable wretches that they are.”

This article does not even begin to touch on 200 years of slavery imposed on the African Americans forced into slavery. It wasn't enough to impose slavery, families were deliberately separated, women raped by slave holders at will and men made to do chores that made them not men in their tribal traditions. All the while the white land owners of America have strutted about witholding rights from women and acting like we too are some kind of lessor being.
THIS is the attitude in the White House today. Religion is used as fascist tool of oppression just as it has been in every war. Keep women pregnant and barefoot and they will not be able to protest. Suppress everyone of color and everyone not sharing in a belief of evil entitlement that preys upon the resources and goodness of all humanity. The United States of America has become a boil on the ass of the world. A large, infected, parasitic boil that needs to be lanced so the poison can run out and the wound can heal. BUT, that will never happen until people are willing to open their eyes and see in the mirror.

"How many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see."

Bob Dylan -

If it is America - it is part of life. Now on to Iran and who can they torture there, Negroponte's death squads will soon follow and then we'll hear there is civil war between the Sunnis and Shite (the script is old...come on it is right out of Iran Contra). They love to get everyone killing each other - it takes the load off of them.

While Americans apparently now consider the economy the most important thing in the next election. Perhaps the country should worry more about getting a collective conscience, that goes beyond scapegoating and denial. Or, condemned to repeat history they just keep on killing, eyes closed, worshipping a shining city on the hill that never existed for anyone but a few rich white guys. The press can keep ignoring the truth that America is under occupation by a rich criminal family, and no one is free.
