Not Sleeping In Flanders Fields

Some spirits, like some things, are just bigger than the sky when it comes to courage. Take Cynthia McKinney, who alone stood to face the thugs and dead enders who have stolen our democracy. Practically the day after 9/11, she called them on it.

She called them on the fact that Dyncorp and Halliburton are BOTH involved in the sex slave trade and work as torture contractors for US Inc. the Bushite dictatorship of America.

That is courage in a country that honors stupidity, callousness and lies, as leadership.

We can get an immeasurable amount done if we stand with the people resisting the surge to commit further genocide and torture in Iraq and around the world.

Just notice less than subtle things...like the fact that Bush either has no heart, doesn't know where it is, or the saying, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach," may have some meaning (for this repitilian brain at least).
Plastic Laura seems to have it right, but then those programmed models always do.

The house that Jack built with conspiracy, fraud and tax evasion.

While Genocidal George is over killing Iraqis for Halliburton, Bechtel and Boeing...and Lockheed Martin is developing a lovely little tool that will look right through your roof into your house.

Imagine the fun the PERVS in the Republican party will have with that.

Because of them ethical American language and ACTIONS are nearly nonexistent.

But, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, and the entire tired lot are one voice protecting the corporate criminal crude that pays them.

Covering for world genocide, devoid of conscience American news agencies, use generals like rock stars, stumble on...reporting a propagandized PAP, criminal in its silence of the use of depleted uranium in Iraq, the fact that nearly 600,000 have been murdered in American bombings, torture, etc. The "surge" in an illegal occupation means more genocide in a country with no army, no airforce and only patriots resisting an American occupation.

In France, the Nazi occupation was fought in much the same way, only then the Nazis called the French resistance "terrorists" (in their own country), rather than the patriots they were for defending it. The USA is the invader, the occupying army and is interfering in the entire Middle East - to tell neighbor Iran to NOT interfere in Iraq would be like telling Mexico and Canada to stay out if the USA were invaded. Laughable, and ridiculous at best, it is the American narcissistic psychopathic foreign policy most often presented by "the most trusted name in (corporate) news". (The entire Iraqi resistance is spelled out in a handbook written by the British SOE (Special Operations Executive) for the French when resisting the Nazis, it is entitled, "The Patriot's Handbook to Resistance," and goes on to train the resistant in every type of bombing. The handbook has been widely circulated around the world.

During the past sixty years a corporate coup has gradually taken over the congress and presidency of the USA, and for us to combat it, we must take our collective world energies and put them into a vision of what we want the world to be. Then, standing in individual and collective energy we face the darkness within our society and say, "no more, not now, not ever, and not on our watch."

Please take the torch and hold it high that we might see the enemy who causes the repetition of history.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw The torch;
be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

- John McCrae

This famous poem has likely been recited or read by all Canadians. It's brought to our attention annually on Remembrance Day, November 11th. Similar to Veterans & Memorial Days in the USA, Remembrance Day is an occasion to remind ourselves that our good fortune and country are ours at the expense of many lost lives.

Indeed while our grandfathers, grandmothers, mothers and fathers became the cannon fodder for corporate war after corporate war, we have the opportunity to become conscious - to end it - to evolve. Let's really get the backs of those who have gone before us and make their deaths mean something by ending war, at least the ones we start (the majority) - be conscious - all our lives depend on it.
