Notice how quiet it has been on the "front"...where once we received the plasticized, massaged, Operation Mockingbird, embedded reporter from Iraq, now we get no news...other than that produced by "This Week At War", the propagandized rag by the latest general who shows up at networks like the doctor who graduated 40th in his/her class to work at the local box store.

It is soo cool you can work in one of 130 countries around the world promoting American aggression and terror and then be called a hero at home and given a TV show. Heck...how sweet it is..no wonder all thse old retired generals are worth so much. Between flying around cutting off the ears of the Vietnamese and stealing their land, to raping Haiti...there is just no end to American FREE enterprise is there?

Amid Turmoil, U.S. Attorney Will Shift to Headquarters

Rachel K. Paulose, the United States attorney in Minnesota, said that she would step down to go to work at the Justice Department in Washington on legal policies.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 19 — The embattled United States attorney in Minnesota announced on Monday that she would step down to go to work at the Justice Department in Washington on legal policies.
The announcement by the prosecutor, Rachel K. Paulose, 34, was made after reports of new staff turmoil in her office. At least one senior lawyer resigned on Friday from his management post in a protest over Ms. Paulrose’s leadership. Three other managers left their administrative jobs in April, also in protest.
In an unusual public statement last week on a conservative blog, Ms. Paulose suggested that she was a victim of “McCarthyite hysteria that permits the anonymous smearing of any public servant who is now, or ever may have been, a member of the Federalist Society, a person or faith and/or a conservative (especially a young, conservative woman of color).”


Ms. Paulose, a Christian who was born in India and is the youngest United States attorney in the country, is a former member of the Federalist Society, a conservative lawyers’ group whose members have taken many high-ranking posts in the Bush administration.
In Washington, the Justice Department did not respond to questions about the reasons for or timing of Ms. Paulose’s transfer here, where she will be a counselor to the acting assistant attorney general for legal policy.
Nor would department spokesmen here say whether Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey, in his second full week in the post, had an active role in the decision.

.....back to ...Ms. Paulose’s appointment as a United States attorney last year was viewed by many prominent lawyers in Minnesota, and in her own office, as symbolic of a larger problem under Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales. Under Mr. Gonzales, experienced prosecutors were succeeded by relatively young and inexperienced lawyers seen as fiercely loyal to the administration.
In a statement on the transfer, the chief spokesman of the department, Brian Roehrkasse, said,

“We appreciate her service as U.S. attorney and are fortunate that the department will continue to be able to benefit from her exceptional legal skill in this new capacity.”
In an e-mail message to colleagues in Minneapolis, Ms. Paulose said she was “excited for a new opportunity to work on policy issues that are important to the mission of the department” and expected to leave by Dec. 31.
The announcement was welcomed by the state’s senators.
“I support Rachel Paulose’s decision today to step down from her duties as Minnesota’s U.S. attorney,” said Senator Norm Coleman, a Republican who had endorsed her selection. “I have made it clear that I have had concerns about the office of the U.S. attorney under her watch, and I believe this decision will allow the office to move forward.”
