In February of 2003, he and Lawrence Kaplan told the National Review's Kathryn Jean Lopez that "having defeated and then occupied Iraq, democratizing the country should not be too tall an order for the world's sole superpower."
That one's turned out well.

Their new album (includes "Ain't Ready to Make Nice") and is written by them, their first complete foray into the fray of writing their own music. I watched a interesting interview with the group on CBC's Face to Face, last night. It is heartening to hear a group so close to the earth, their roots and themselves - and they know it! Conscious as well as conscientious objectors like this are few and far between.

If you are really bored some Sunday morning, run some searches under Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney. The names have been in every war mongering administration in past thirty years.

When the holocaust museums are built to FINALLY honor the dead slaughtered by these monsters, make sure you remember their faces.

Bush and this junta of money laundering religious nut cases, have done more to destroy America than Bin Laden ever could.

Bin Laden did not sell off American jobs, make the ports of America even more insecure, give the levee repair money from New Orleans to Halliburton, or funnel billion dollar unlimited contracts to his former company. Nor did Bin Laden open the border to low cost slave labor for American corporate Nazis run amok.

Cheney and Rumsfeld are benefitting directly from this war, every second, of every minute of every hour. So why on earth would they want to end it? The same American industry that funded (with impunity) Adolf Hitler, is now in the White House. Repeating history, through yet another war, because Americans do not know or recall their history they are condemned to repeat it - again and again and again.
